There is something magic about fast cars, helicopters, great big bon-fires, new gadgets, bulldozers, bright lights etc.  I am not sure what it is, maybe its the power, the ability to overwhelm or generate reactions, maybe its the exploration, the excitement of something new – what ever it is, its a great force.

Unfortunately, maybe its not all good.  Since the little ones came along I have been struck with a single guiding thought;

“Can my children do what I do, and if they can’t then should I.”

I guess I started out thinking that the answer was being a greenie, protect the tree’s, save the animals, oil is bad and all that, but (I think) my thinking has progressed to sustainability.  If its sustainable (that is, if the generations that follow me have the same opportunities I do) then its OK, but if they don’t then its not.

So, what that thought in mind, this blog is a place for me to dump a few thoughts about what seems good, and what seems bad, along with other notes (geek stuff) that interests me along the way.  The thing I would really like, is for others to throw in their 2c, to have their say, they might agree, they might disagree but in the end proper answers come from discussion.
